Automated bottle vision inspection machine for fill-level and cap-tightening verification, designed to handle multiple bottle formats.
Fabrit designed and built an automated bottle quality inspection machine for a pharmaceutical production process. The system performs machine vision inspection of the syrup fill level and verifies correct bottle cap closure.
Thanks to interchangeable guiding components and adjustable camera positions, the machine can be changed over to inspect several bottle diameters and formats.
Challenge
The production process required automatic and repeatable inspection of two critical parameters of the finished product: the liquid fill level inside the bottle and the correct closure of the cap.
The machine also had to support several packaging formats while meeting the mechanical and operational requirements of a pharmaceutical production environment.
